House of Mercier Artist Diana Mendoza Debuts in U.S.
Great news from House of Mercier: one of their artists, Diana Mendoza, has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Mendoza had her first Solo Exhibition in the U.S. early last month at Burley-Hipp Gallery in L.A., an area that boasts an extensive collector’s base of the artist’s paintings.
Born in Peru, Mendoza specializes in rich, ornate canvases that are at once inspired by European styling and a Peruvian arts education. Religious themes play a strong component in her exquisite compositions, which often typically feature gold and silver leaf with oil on canvas.
Mendoza’s opening in L.A. was extremely well-received and garnered widespread media coverage. Response was overwhelmingly positive; collectors came from hundreds of miles away to assist in the opening, and top personalities from the area attended.
