Today’s Artwork of the Day is “Enlightenment,” by Artexpo New York 2010 exhibitor Hessam Abrishami. Hessam is published by Studio Fine Art, which will exhibit at Booth 1022 during Artexpo New York this March.

Hessam Arbishimi was born is Shiraz, Iran in 1951.  Seeking a society free from the limitations of modern day Iran, Hessam left his home country to expand his knowledge of the outside, changing world.  His curiosity brought him to Italy, one of the great epicenters of the art world, where he honed his skills, and developed a captivating personal style.

It is Hessam’s belief that that artwork does not belong solely to the artist, but to the people.  Hessam’s art is his way of helping to make the world a free and joyful place.  His approach to art is intuitive and free by nature, yet disciplined by his strong foundation in artistic fundamentals.

Today, Hessam currently has over 20,000 private collectors worldwide and has exhibited in 100 one-man gallery shows. Recent exhibitions have included Tehran, the Latino Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Arkansas.
