Jeff Pulver to NewsBlaze: Artists Harnessing Social Media

Jeff Pulver, Artexpo New York 2011 Keynote Speaker

Internet phone pioneer Jeff Pulver spoke to NewsBlaze the other day about the power of social of media for artists, the subject of Jeff’s upcoming keynote address at Artexpo New York 2011.

Since blazing the trail for Voice-over IP (VOIP) and co-founding Vonage, Jeff has become a thought leader in the social media, the Real-Time Web, internet television, and their transformation of the art marketplace. Jeff’s March 25 keynote, “The Birth of the Back Channel: The Real-Time Web and How It’s Changing How We’re Doing Business,” will kick off three days of free educational seminars and conference classes for art professionals.

“People want to own buzz,” the founder told NewsBlaze. “If you want to be a trend or want to be popular, you have to do something interesting and engage with your audience, we’re living in times where you have to make a transition. We’re living through a revolution, a social change where individual voices are affecting change around the world.”

Jeff’s talk will get artists thinking about how they can create that buzz to reach the public and grow their careers through social networking sites and YouTube.
