“The Many Benefits of Exchanging Artwork”
A discussion with David Gorenberg, Friday, March, 23, 4:30-5 pm
Sponsored by Citibank
Did you know you can defer capital gains taxes on the sale of appreciated art — and even avoid them, in many cases? Here’s something else you might not realize: when you include artwork in your estate, Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code makes art exchanges an invaluable estate planning tool. David Gorenberg, Citibank’s National Director of 1031 Exchange Services and the former President of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators, will cover the many benefits of exchanging artwork in this discussion — as well as some of the pitfalls to avoid.
If you are an art collector, what David has to say could have a substantial financial impact for you and your estate. So don’t miss it — Friday, March, 23, 4:30-5 pm. Visit our Education & Events page for the full schedule of classes.
