Get up close and personal with the world-renowned artists exhibiting at the show via our Meet the Artist series. This exciting series offers you the chance to learn from some of the artists directly about their artistic journey and creative process, as well as ask them questions and perhaps even see them perform a live demo!


FRIDAY

2-4pm | Meet the Artists: Current Art Group, Location: Booth 315

Meet the international artists represented by Current Art Group! Listen to the story of Franco Mbilizi from Africa and his inspiration to use quantum, molecular, scientific, and ancient symbols to create meaning in his artwork. Carlos A. Pereira and his “Little Creatures” collection of multi-dimensional artwork will fascinate you. And Tania Bakalarz from Colombia will enchant you with her journey to discover different forms of expression through her art. Each of these artists will be on hand to meet you and share more of their story and art with you.


 

4-5pm | Meet the Artist: Tom Venning, 10 Artist 4 US, Location: Booth 600

Meet international artist Tom Venning and watch him create his magic on the canvas! His art is based on Zen Calligraphy, but being self-taught and having no emotional connection to Chinese characters, he developed his own unique form of asemic writing that twists dimensions and challenges perception. Watch and learn his process and mindset of calligraphy as he demonstrates and creates a painting during your visit!


 SATURDAY

12pm-1pm Meet the Artist: Nick Paciorek, Location: Booth 333

Meet Nick Paciorek, the renowned artist whose work is seen from coast to coast. With broad strokes of color lending emotional impact, each of his pieces is a celebration of light and color and a vivid interpretation of his subjects. He tends to paint large cities with active skylines, busy streets, and hard edges, where he can bring his interpretation of the relationship of one building to another and the immediacy of light hitting a surface in a particular way across the canvas. Always eager to share his story and art, Nick looks forward to meeting you!


 

1pm-2pm Meet the Artist: William Ho, Location: Booth B

Meet and watch William Ho, the internationally renowned artist, as he demonstrates his Chinese brush painting technique and explains its gateway to understanding Chinese culture. William’s works are regarded as masterpieces carrying timeless messages to the world–the Chinese Picasso some have said. His art has been exhibited and installed in international museums, galleries, public venues including the UN Headquarters and the Louvre Museum in Paris. This is a rare chance to meet this international artist and see him demonstrate his techniques.


 

2pm-3pm Meet the Artists: Mattson’s Fine Art, Location: Booth 263

Meet the sensational glass sculpture artists that exhibit at Mattson’s Fine Art, each with pieces in museums and private collections around the world. Perhaps you like the life-size sculptural work of Alexis Silk, or the whimsical work of James Wilbat, or the amazing etched and cut details of Lisabeth Sterling’s vessels—or perhaps, like us, you fancy the work of all three! Each of these artists will be on hand to meet you and share more of their story and art with you.


 

2pm-3pm Meet the Artist: Anna Razumovskaya, Location: Booth 207

Don’t miss this chance to meet acclaimed Russian painter Anna Razumovskaya. Her signature style is easily recognizable—classic, romantic figures with a sense of elegance and grace. Each piece carries an aura associated with the Renaissance, yet Anna’s uniquely expressive, dynamic technique makes them refreshingly modern figurative forms. Listening to Anna’s eclectic mix of experiences will enchant you as you learn how they have enabled her to create a an amazing body of work. Stop by and receive a signed print from Anna as a gift.


 

4pm-5pm Meet the Artist: Zingaro of Art on a Whim Gallery, Location: Booth 319

Meet Zingaro, the master of vitreous enamel, and learn directly from him the story behind his use of this ancient art form. The medium dates back thousands of years, but it is rarely seen these days. If nothing else, stop by to say hello and see the artwork. Viewing Zingaro’s vitreous enamel work is as fascinating as the story behind it. Luminous and contemporary yet rustic, each original work of art glows.

2pm-3pm Meet the Artist: Cynthia Duff of Art on a Whim Gallery, Location: Booth 319

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Cynthia Duff and see her organic and contemporary collection of works on wood. Each piece undulates with a perfect combination of form, color, and composition that literally seems to pop off of the wall. As viewers walk past her work, different parts of the painting appear. Looking at each piece changes dramatically depending on the angle from which it is viewed. You’ll want to hear her story of how she uses music, color, subject, shape, and line to orchestrate her art.
