Laura Mullikin
Designer & Education Coordinator
Laura Mullikin liked to draw. So she went to art school. There she learned numerous things about art, including a little bit about design. That little bit has gone a long way, taking her into custom decorating, product design and graphic design at various points in her life.
Laura spent two years as Design and Content Manager for ArtSelect, the world’s first online art gallery and frame shop. During that time, she kept busy designing products and researching components, creating templates for new artworks to be framed in, and designing Powerpoints and print catalog layouts. Since then, she has worked as a freelance graphics designer for the past three years: designing marketing materials, Powerpoints, Photoshoping images for web use, catalog layout, print design and doing some web development.
At Artexpo, Laura uses her aesthetic savvy to design all manner of creative—from website graphics to road-side banners. In addition to her artistic skills, Laura is also a top-notch organizer. That’s why we’ve appointed her Education Coordinator for Artexpo’s ongoing seminars for art industry professionals.
Laura has three small dogs whose papers claim that they are pomeranians, but she feels certain there is some bloodhound in their background somewhere. Laura lives in a lovely old farm house that she decorated herself and is constantly finding new little items to add to the mix and look like they’ve always belonged there.
