Materials for the Arts
For the past 40 years, Materials for the Arts (MFTA) has been the premier reuse center for arts and cultural organizations in New York City. Founded in 1978, MFTA is a program of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs with support from the Departments of Sanitation and Education.
MFTA maintains a warehouse with numerous reusable materials donated from businesses and individuals and makes them available, free of charge, to non-profits with arts programming along with New York City public schools and City Agencies.
In 2017, MFTA collected over 1.5 million pounds of reusable materials and put them in the hands of thousands of students, dancers, choreographers, set designers, art therapists, stage performers, and senior citizens.
New York Film Academy

Students from over 120 countries take NYFA’s accelerated degree, conservatory, or workshop programs, with campuses in New York City, Los Angeles, and South Beach, Miami; Gold Coast, Australia; and a year-round location in Florence, Italy. Summer workshops are offered worldwide.
