JJ Galloway paints food themed art with a wild twist! Her art is always food themed and swings between whimsical and realistic with a feeling of the Dutch masters.
“When my daughter was a baby, she would put the first bite of every meal on top of her head and then finish eating with that piece of food up there, like a crown. It was a mess, but cute. She is the inspiration behind this art. I love painting food. And when you match up a food with an animal…it becomes a little work of fiction.”
JJ Galloway has shown her work in exhibitions in New York, LA, Chicago, D.C. and Miami. Her art can be found in collections worldwide.
When she’s not in the studio painting, she teaches for the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery. Her home and studio are in the Annapolis, Maryland area.
