Mimi Benrazek is an Algerian painter that was born and raised in Dubai, UAE where she quickly developed a passion for the arts and fashion design at a very young age. Moving to the United States at age 11, she encountered new influences from American pop culture and became heavily inspired by Avant-garde artists like Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock. Mimi’s artwork uses an innovative application of colors and textures, combined with unconventional figurehead designs and emotional elements aiming to depict the complications of life through the psychology of awareness. Her distinctive style is guaranteed to stir up an emotional reaction from her audience. She has exhibited her paintings with Superfine! at Art Basel week in Miami and Los Angeles and is now expanding her journey with Artexpo New York. The young artist is now based in the Washington D.C. area where she works as an art instructor while pursuing her independent painting career.
