A Showcase of Independent Artists

Be Discovered

What Is [SOLO]?

[SOLO] is a curated exhibition of innovative, independent artists from across the U.S. and around the world. Exhibiting at [SOLO] can lead to on-site sales, but more importantly, it can open doors to networking, contracts, and commissions. In the words of [SOLO] exhibitor Karen Kohtz, “Over the four-day event of Artexpo, if you play your cards right, you can launch connections that will probably fuel you for a good year.”

A Showcase Of Independent Artists

Exhibition space at [SOLO] is open to qualified artists looking to expand their distribution through collectors, galleries, interior designers, architects, and trade buyers.

[SOLO] offers established and emerging independent artists the opportunity to showcase their work on an international stage in NYC. Over the decades, [SOLO] has become the ultimate venue for independent artists to be discovered—not only by gallery owners and art publishers but also by collectors and enthusiasts in search of exciting new works.

Education, Events & Awards

Alongside Artexpo New York, [SOLO] features three days of seminars and conference classes, offering expert perspectives on subjects ranging from art and the economy and small business management to art marketing and social media for artists. At each show, prestigious [SOLO] awards are given to artists.

Who Exhibits in [SOLO]?

If you’re an independent artist looking to gain exposure for your work, [SOLO] can help you connect with thousands of collectors, gallery owners, art dealers, and shoppers—all under one roof.

  • “It was wonderful experience to participate in the ArtExpo New York 2015. With a few sales, contracts with galleries in New York and offers to exhibit in Paris, Berlin, Sweden, New York, Dallas, Miami and Dubai… what else I could wish for! It was awesome to be among so many talented artists! Four days surrounded by art... just amazing! I am looking forward to being a part of Art Expo again in 2016"

  • "Rosana was my mentor at Artexpo New York a few years ago. I just wanted to reach out and say thank you!! Exhibiting as a Rising Artist at the show, the tips and ideas she gave me have made a HUGE difference and impact in my art career. To date, I have traveled to the Playboy Mansion to paint for Hefner, I've won multiple awards, including an international award and even had a piece shown at the Louvre in Paris! My Painted Lady Collection has improved so much from Rosana's help. I just wanted to say thank you again!"

  • "Art Expo NY was a very different show for us as a new gallery. We were exposed to several sides of the art business with which we were not entirely familiar, resulting in a broader understanding of existing opportunities. We grew our client base, widened our reach via marketing, expanded our list of contacts, and ultimately, made sales. We at Conde Contemporary relished the opportunity to work with RMG again, our third time. They are a professional, organized, and highly focused team, bent on customer service, assuring exhibitors needs are met in a timely, courteous and consistent manner."

  • "The Show was a great experience as well as Redwood Team offered the maximum support to the galleries, artists as well as attendees. I will repeat the show next year. Thank you also for including our gallery at the Education Program - and it generated a lot of traffic thru our booth during the last two days. Last but not least, the gallery obtained new artists for representation due to the great marketing and exposure at Art Expo New York 2015. It was a pleasure to work with the Redwood Team. See you at SPECTRUM Miami!"

  • "Just wanted to take a moment to let you know the NY Art Expo was really beautiful to see and also educational. Thank you."

  • "We were both impressed with the overall look and feel of the event. The porters that helped load and unload were a godsend. The security was impeccable. Made us feel our art was very safe and secure. We met with Rosana as soon as we finished speaking with you and registered for Spectrum Miami and Artexpo 2017. We love how each of you go out of your way to make us feel special. I know this is something you do for all your artists, but it is tremendously appreciated."

  • "We really enjoy working with RMG and are grateful for the support and encouragement you have given Lynn and I as we present our Prayer Machines to the public. Looking forward to our next outing with you, providing I can build enough new ones to fill a booth space again. You've created "good problems" for me. Thanks again, see you soon."

  • "I got five new contracts for future projects, I got three new offers for exhibition in different galleries, and one of my photos, name "God's Eye," sold to the National Museum of Korea for Lifetime Display in the Museum! ... I got three projects to shoot in India ... and I met a few agents and collectors who want to commission my photos! I am happy to be a part of Artexpo NYC 2016. Thanks and regards."

  • "The show was a great learning experience for me. I did not make any sales during the show, but there was a lot of interest in my booth and I am in the process of following up with several contacts I made during the show. I also built some strong relationships with other exhibitors, which I’m sure will turn into fruitful future collaborations."

  • "First of all, I have to thank you and your team for all the hard work. I had no problem with installation, moving in and out, questions I had from the staff, and all other facilities you provided us. The presentation area, venue, space, and lights were absolutely professional and wonderful. Thank you very much for putting together the events—I look forward to being a part of the show again!"

  • "Thank you for my awesome, over-the-top experience at Artexpo NY this past weekend! It far exceeded my expectations and just got better and better each day. I sold four pieces and presently have orders for five more. I love the trend to get photographers more space in the art world! I repeatedly heard from the guests and the exhibitors how nice the diversity of the photography was at Artexpo. We had a wonderful, friendly group at our end and we hope to see each other in Miami and again in NY. The contacts for distribution and a few others who offered proposals are very interesting to me and we are discussing possibilities next week. I would like to know more about next year’s Artexpo New York and Spectrum in Miami in December 2016. Thank you for doing all you do for artists in general and presently for the photographers!"

  • "We had a successful weekend at the Artexpo show last weekend, selling 2 large sculptures for $90,000 each and making many helpful connections with collectors and galleries during the event. Thanks for everything!"

  • "I would like to take this opportunity and express my gratitude for visiting Booth #S404 at Artexpo New York last weekend. My artworks received high appreciation and over half the paintings displayed were purchased. Mihir and I would like to thank the whole RMG team for putting up such a great show. And we're looking forward for Spectrum Miami 2016!"

  • "It was a great event! I got to meet all sorts of people and I had fun doing it. My photographer neighbors where just awesome people, so it was a well-rounded, positive experience for me."

  • "Artexpo was an incredible event for us this year. Redwood Media is definitely the premier show producer in the country; we love working with them and their amazing team! We ended up selling eight pieces total, with our best sale of a $15,000 "Modern Simplicity Piece" to a very large architecture firm in NYC. The piece will go in a new construction penthouse in Manhattan. We also connected with five art consultant firms, three in the U.S. and two international. In addition to those highlights, we ended up getting two representation offers from two galleries. it was an outstanding show!!"

  • "I want to thank you all for an amazing show. I felt so supported on all sides as I took on the challenge of doing my first international show. I would be happy to offer support to any other Canadian artists that are inquiring about the show for next year. I was fortunate enough to sell 10 original paintings, and I have 4 commissions lined up from the Show. I expect there will be more to come over the next few months. Thanks to the Artexpo New York team for an amazing experience!"

  • "I must say that the poster contest is a phenomenally BRILLIANT idea, not only for marketing Redwood as the BEST of the best in the art world, but to bring in new artists and expose all the new art/artists to the world through Facebook. I can hardly wait for show time in April! Being a part of ArtExpo is like jumping on a trampoline that propels me up into the stratosphere. Wow!"

We got so many wonderful compliments and a number of promising leads with the possible addition of some well-placed publicity in the form of an article or two. • Every year, Artexpo New York gets more popular with buyers and more inspiring than the year before. It is a show like none other. Within the first hour of the show opening, I sold more than 50 pieces. 50! Gallerists, designers, and collectors couldn’t stop gushing over our artists' Renato Foti and Lea DeWit's pieces and Ken Rausch's curved copper and stainless wall sculptures.
